1919 Studio quality of Alvin York, the greatest single hero of WWI posed in his uniform after returning to the United States at the end of the conflict. He killed 25 Germans and captured another 132 during the Argonne offensive and became a folk hero. Despite the photo having some black paint done from publication and mounted to thicker board, the image is vintage and quite nice.
