Large and artistic 1924 photograph of the largest dirigible airship of its time, the "Shenandoah" as it prepared for its maiden flight in Lakehurst, New Jersey (13 years later the site of the Hindenburg disaster). The Shenandoah was the pride of the aviation world, until it tragically crashed the next year killing 14!
