The most obscure of the 1919 Black Sox Gamblers was part time player Fred McMullen. Vintage items of him are extremely difficult to find and this is one of the best! Dated from the previous year (1918) McMullen is seen posing for the camera in full uniform fielding a ball during spring training. Exhibiting tremendous quality, this is a large image and in nice condition with one light crease and two small pinholes (so light they are almost invisible). One of the best McMullen Images on the Planet and he is perhaps the rarest of all Black Sox players to find photographs of!
