Bobby Hughes is one of the most obscure players in baseball history, playing in one solitary game with the 1921 Pittsburgh Pirates and lasting only two innings. Like every other player in history though, he was more than just a moment and he spent his entire life as a ballplayer. Here he appeared in uniform with the Boston Braves, three years before his one day in the big leagues and trying to make the squad. This is the only known photograph of Hughes to have ever surfaced, issued by NEA and offered here for the first time ever! A fantastic rarity in great shape.
