1939 Photograph of the "parade of Ballplayers" which was part of the festivities in Cooperstown, New York when the Hall of Fame opened it's doors for the first time ever. Led by Babe Ruth (near the back) other stars like Lefty Grove, Arky Vaughan, Mel Ott and Charlie Gehringer are also visible in the image as well as a sea of current players. A fantastic new discovery that is being offered here for the first time ever. Photo is crystal clear and bold, stamped on the back by the New York Daily News and with a handwritten note as well.
