One of the most important and famous images ever taken of actress Marilyn Monroe that appeared on the cover of LIFE magazine by photographer Philippe Halsman. One of her best, and this is a rare example that most likely dates to the late 1950's or early 1960's. This is the only example we have ever seen and it is in fine condition with a touch of mild handling wear from being in a news-room for half a century.
