1946 Horizontal batting photograph of Mel Ott from the New York Giants taking some at-bats during the final days of his career. He was officially the player/manager but in reality he was retired and just using his role to illustrate points to younger players. Since being a manager was not really something he was great at, or enjoyed, Ott's career essentially ended the next year in 1947 making this one of the last batting photos of him in a Giants uniform that exists.
