Before the start of the 1927 season the St. Louis Cardinals went out and got the best infielder in baseball, Frankie Frisch. All he did was lead the red-birds to a couple World Series titles as the leader of one of the most dominant clubs of the era. Stamped on the back by the Associated Press and with a paper caption on the back, this is crystal clear and bold easily ranking among the best portrait photographs of Frisch we have handled. Aside from a couple tiny paper scrapes on the left border area, this appears almost perfect!
