1908 Large photograph of star veteran of the Chicago White Sox Fielder Jones striking a cocky pose at the ballpark with his hands on his hips and looking indifferent. This is the work of famous photographer Charles Conlon and the reverse bears his earlier stamp. The quality of the image is pretty nice with bold tones that make the classic black uniform of the White Sox really pop out. Photo would be in really nice condition but it does have a repaired crease at the top that seems to have slightly broken the paper but it does not detract visually as much as the technical grade would suggest. One of the earlier large Conlon images we have handled and the subject of Fielder Jones, one of the most popular veteran players of the era making this a fantastic specimen. It appears that Conlon himself might have made this photo off his own duplicate negative as the clarity is not as precise as it should be. Sometimes photographers would do this to make working specimens they could mess with (add artistic enhancements etc.). As such we still consider this a "vintage 1" but it is unclear how PSA would treat this particular example as it is so early in Conlon's career that it might also just be a bad print that came out a bit blurry.
