1928 Poster sized huge image from opening day in Philadelphia and showing the four greatest hitters in baseball together for an amazing photograph. The image captures Babe Ruth and Lou Gehrig from the New York Yankees and Ty Cobb and Tris Speaker from the Athletics before the start of the game. In any conversation of the top hitters in baseball history from any era, these four are all in the top ten somewhere making this photograph quite the find! The image is placed on top of an action image from the game and the huge piece overall makes for an impressive display! Issued by the Elliot Photo Service and with a paper caption on the back, these were intended to be hung at news-stands to promote the paper for a single day and thrown away making surviving copies extremely rare with this one being in nice shape considering the size and age with one small rip on the left being the only real flaw beyond normal handling wear.
