1925 Portrait photograph of future Hall of Famer Paul Waner with San Francisco of the Pacific Coast League. Waner was heavily sought after by Major League Clubs for several years but 1925 would make him the hottest commodity in the game as he knocked out 280 hits and batted .401! The Pirates would outbid other clubs and take the youngster who would bat .333 over his career in the big leagues! The offered image is date stamped from NEA and is a detailed silver gelatin photograph. Photo exhibits some mild creasing with two very small rips on the far left and right borders but it presents well and is an exceptionally clean piece. This photo sold for $546 in our June 2014 auction!
