Bill Killefer was a deadball era star that is largely forgotten today but would have been near the top of the list of "best catchers in baseball" about a hundred years ago. A mainstay in the National League from 1909-1921, he was the epitome of a defensive team leader that everyone wanted to have on their squad. Taken by photographer Charles Conlon and stamped on the back with his handwritten notes as well.
