1959 Photograph of Boston Red Sox veteran Ted Williams as he chats with Bobby Avila in uniform. It was widely thought this would be the final season for the "Splendid Splinter" and he struggled, but he would in fact play in 1960 and bounce back with another typical year for the Hall of Famer. One of the latest images we have offered of Williams and it presents well with note to a piece of tape on the far left and a spot of paper loss on the upper right corner.
