1950 Photograph of the Oakland, California junior legion baseball team which included a young Frank Robinson (at 16 years old) in uniform. This is the earliest image of Robinson we have ever seen in a uniform and it was taken by noted photographer George Dorrill. Robinson was part of the team that won the junior legion national championship (big surprise) and this photo pictures the team with the plaque and trophies! A fantastic image that is the only example we know of in the world and it presents well with note to a few scattered creases, some artistic tracing and a spot of damage on the lower left portion. It is interesting that the wide eyed Robinson is posed with a pen and his scorecard underneath him so he could get autographs!
