1949 Dated team issued photograph of young Brooklyn Dodgers star Duke Snider showing his batting form in front of the team dugout at Ebbets Field. A special photo for a couple reasons, this was taken the year of his rookie baseball cards making it one of his finest early images, but more importantly it is the photo used to make his 1951 Bowman baseball card which is widely considered one of the most beautiful of the set! The photo is stamped on the back by the team and dated, cementing the vintage 1 status, but it also is a crystal clear specimen that presents almost prefect despite some chipping and wear (hard to see with the background) to the upper left of the image. One of the best baseball card images of the era we have handled, this one has all the bells and whistles collectors want!
