Hank Steinbacher was a pretty good player with one monster year and two bad ones in the major leagues. In 1937 and 1939 he was mediocre or flat out bad, in 1938 however he batted .331 to lead the Chicago White Sox! The offered image is the only one of Steinbacher we have ever seen, likely from his big year and taken by famous photographer Charles Conlon. A nearly perfect image in great shape, this is a White Sox rarity!
