1920 Original contact print photograph of "Shufflin" Phil Douglas, the eccentric star of the New York Giants and world class alcoholic! Douglas' exploits with the bottle and talent on the mound actually prompted manager John McGraw to hire a full time employee whose entire job was to keep Douglas away from alcohol! An impressive image from photographer Charles Conlon and signed on the back with handwritten notes and a date stamp as well. Contact prints from Conlon are rare and this one is fantastic!
