What must have been going through Lefty Williams mind when this photo was taken! Dated during the 1919 World Series "October 1919" the image shows "Honest" Dickie Kerr warming up for the camera, most likely before game 3, while Lefty Williams who had already thrown a game in the series looks on with a puzzled look on his face. While we know now what was happening during the 1919 World Series, when this photo was taken only Williams and seven others were aware of the fix. Important image has a crease on the upper left corner and a chip on the upper right as well as normal handling wear. One of only two examples known, this is a tremendous find for the historian or fan of the 1919 World Series! This exact photo sold $1175 in our March 2014 auction!
