Maybe he did it, maybe he didn't; at this point we wont let the facts get in the way of a tremendous story. Buck Weaver was a good player for a great team. Had he been completely honest and clean, nobody would know his name or care about him today. Because he participated in some sort in the fix of the 1919 World Series, he is a legendary figure that is still well known nearly 100 years after the event that cemented his place in history. An impressive image from Charles Conlon with his stamp on the back, this is a wonderful image with a corner clip on the lower left from the newspaper being the only major issue. One of the only images of Weaver from Charles Conlon that we have seen and it is a beautiful image with crystal clarity!
