1938 Silver gelatin photograph of the New York Yankees infield, likely taken during the end of the season or World Series as Lou Gehrig is already looking older and like he is suffering from the early stages of ALS. While not stamped on the back, this is from the estate of a former teammate and there are glue stains on the back from being in a scrapbook for decades. The photo is dated by the World's Fair patches on the uniforms and it presents in great shape overall with a few light creases on the lower right corner. Crystal clear and bold, the photo also includes Joe Gordon, Red Rolfe and Frank Crosetti. A new discovery offered here for the first time ever!
