Lot Description  

Rare 1937 photograph from the All Star Game at Griffith Stadium in Washington DC. Lou Gehrig has just nailed fellow Hall of Famer Gabby Hartnett of the Cubs at first base with a stellar fielding play and examines the ball before tossing it back to the mound. A clear and bold photo of Gehrig from one of the tougher All Star Games to find images of. Condition and quality make this one a 10/10!
