The plot of the 1928 film "Laugh Clown Laugh" is perhaps the creepiest of all the early silent films. Basically Lon Chaney is a clown and he falls in love with his adopted daughter in the circus and is conflicted about his feelings. The costumes are amazing in an equally creepy way and this photo shows Chaney behind the scenes and showing off his clown suit from the film! A rare work of Hollywood photography that presents well, it has a crease on the far left side that is hard to see. This is the only image from the film we have seen and this is about as good as you could hope for showing the star displaying his amazing costume!
