When Ban Johnson, baseball pioneer and founder of the American League passed away in 1931, it was a major event and at least one camera was out. We have seen images of only a handful of Baseball Stars' Funerals before and this is the only known image to ever be offered of such an image from Ban Johnson's body being taken to the cemetery. Issued by the International News and in pretty nice condition with a lengthy paper caption on the back. Quite a Floral assortment from this important figure in American sports and some of those old timers were probably early ballplayers.
