1913 George Grantham Bain photograph of the star pitcher of the New York Female Giants which was the first attempt to make women's baseball a go in the United States on a professional level. Wearing a really cool jersey and posing for the photographer, this young lady was no side show, but a legitimate attempt to form the first "league of their own" thirty years before WWII. Stamped on the back by Bain, this is an important piece of baseball history and in really nice shape.
