1908 Studio portrait photograph of New York Giants rookie Fred Snodgrass in uniform. Taken by the famed studio photographer Carl Horner, this was peeled off the original white mount over 100 years ago for easier storage and functionality in a working news room, this was ripped a tiny bit on the upper left corner when this was done and there is remnants of the cabinet backing on the reverse as well. As far as we can tell, this is the only known Snodgrass image from Horner that exists in original form, making it a special piece of a star player by an important photographer. The photo is crystal clear and there is some artistic tracing of the background done for publication.
