c. 1905 Silver gelatin steely portrait photograph of Cincinnati Reds third baseman Harry Steinfeldt in uniform. Taken at the studio of Carl Horner and peeled off his mount for easy storage, there is remnants of his white mount on the back of the image which is a nice touch securing the age and vintage of the photograph. Steinfeldt would go on to become a star with the Chicago Cubs and despite passing away early in 1911, he is still remembers to this day as the third baseman of the Cubs dynasty from 1906-1910. This is the image that was used to make his T206 baseball card and as far as we know, this is the ONLY original example of this photograph known to exist. Photo has some artistic tracing and added paint from publication and a hint of wear, but overall it presents beautifully for being 115 years old!
