Absolutely vintage c. 1908 high school team photograph of young Knute Rockne. This image is from his estate and Rockne is pictured back row center wearing helmet and peering straight at the camera. We are not sure if this was the Logan Squires semi-pro team or the actual North West Division high School team he played for, but given the age of his teammates we think it is the Logan Squires as several of the players appear to be older. This is directly from the estate of Rockne and was purchased along with a large box of Rockne estate items by our consigner and offered here for the first time ever. Despite a rusted appear clip stain and some wear, this is an important piece of football memorabilia and one of the finest photographs we have ever sold! An exciting new discovery that belongs in the Hall of Fame.
