June 15, 1944 photograph of the aftermath of the battle of Saipan during the height of tensions in the Pacific during WWII. Several Marines struggle to save the lives of their friends and brothers with this one looking like it might be too late, but transfusions and attention are being given anyways despite the harsh surroundings. Condition and quality are both outstanding and the back carries the purple text of the United States Military! A work of art that could be hanging in a museum or gallery.
