Interesting photograph from 1930 showing Lewis "Hack" Wilson of the Chicago Cubs as he returned to his hometown of Martinsburg, West Virginia to meet his friends. 40,000 people showed up to welcome him and hear a speech while also presenting the slugger with a silver cup. Here he is seen with his award and enjoying the fact that the speech was over with a cigarette. Rare photograph and condition and quality make this a 10/10! Issued by International Newsreel and with full paper caption on the back.
