In 1946 when the Pittsburgh Pirates acquired Hank Greenberg, they built a section at Forbes Field called "Greenberg Gardens" in anticipation of many homers flying out there off his bat. In 1954, they finally got around to ripping it all down. Here we see workers dismantling the dreams a previous generation, but at least they had a new star named Clemente on his way! Issued by the United Press and stamped on the back with a nice paper caption as well.
