1925 Photograph of boxing promoter and king of hockey in the United States Tex Rickard as he dons a uniform for a photo shoot to help popularize the sport in New York. More like PT Barnum than a legitimate player, he more than almost anyone brought hockey to popularity in New York and the NHL would never be the same. This is a famous image which has been reproduced a million times with THIS being the only original example we have ever seen in any form. Stamped on the back by Wide World Photos and in great shape. An important piece of early hockey history.
