1919 Early and exceptional quality photograph embossed in the corner by the photographer and showing Hall of Famer Rogers Hornsby from early in his career. Hornsby would start to take his place as one of the top hitters in baseball history and this is a very rare uniform style the Cardinals only wore for one season. The photographer is G.E. Palfrey of St. Louis and his dry stamp is present on the corner adding a nice touch! Images of Hornsby before 1920 are scarce and this is one of the nicest we have ever handled!
