Mickey Mantle was almost like a brother to his teammates Billy Martin and Whitey Ford. They lived together during the season, drank together, chased women together and lived a life that most men dreamed of at the time. Here in 1955 the trio pose together in the locker room following a victory against the Washington Senators. Ford pitched a one-hitter, Mantle hit a three run homer and Martin got two hits in his first game back since being released from the Army. The condition and quality of this photo are both outstanding and it was issued by the United Press, stamped on the back and with a full paper caption as well.
