Lot Description  

Capitalizing on the fame of anything related to sex appeal and entertainment in the years leading up to WWII, a new pageant was created for married women called "Mrs. America". Established in 1938, here we see the winner of the 1941 installment, Ruth Licklider of New York waving her banner proudly. Issued by the International News and stamped on the back with a full paper caption as well.
