For Ted Williams, 1941 was not only his greatest season as a ballplayer, but one of the greatest seasons for ANY Ballplayer. His .406 average is still the last time anyone has broken that hallowed mark and he established himself as the premier hitter in the game. It's no wonder that by May (when this image was taken) Williams was the subject of an artistic study of the finer points of his game including his Batting Grip which have the pleasure of offering here. Oversized photo (measuring almost 11 inches tall) is one of the largest images of its kind (Hands are larger than life size) we have ever offered and the first featuring Ted Williams! The newspaper has added a small paper tag that reads "The Grip" to the photo which looks great. Photo has some creasing at the upper left corner and some scattered wear, but it's hard to be picky with an image like this!
