Mike Donlin was one of the best hitters of his era, but he loved ladies and the stage more than the game of baseball and he quit it all for a girl and shot at stardom! Eventually he found a happy medium where he reconciled his love of baseball and acting to where he made some silent films and also appeared from time to time on the diamond. Here he is seen in 1929 back on the diamond and posing for a baseball themed film with Irish Meusel as one of the actors. A nice image in great shape, this is a Hollywood style studio photo with perfect clarity.
