1929 Dramatic photograph of a stoic Mrs. Josephine McCarthy, the sister of Babe Ruth's first wife who had just positively identified the body of Mrs. Ruth after a fire killed her. This was big news at the time as Ruth was the most famous man in the world. An interesting piece of Babe Ruth history that we have never seen before.
