1934 Horizontal photograph of the lifeless body of legendary gangster John Dillinger as he was moved from the streets of Chicago (where he was killed) and lies back home in Mooresville, Indiana before burial. A dramatic image as two small children look pensively at the man whose name was synonymous with crime in America and a rare look into his life and death. Issued by the International News, this is a rare image which almost never comes up for sale and this is the only example from this angle we have ever seen. Condition and quality are both outstanding.
