Jim Mutrie was one of the most important and dapper looking figures in all of baseball in the late 1880's. As the dashing and handsome manager of the New York Giants, he was the subject of many photographs and the heartthrob of many women across the nation. Fifty years later, still sporting his handlebar mustache he was celebrated at the Polo grounds by the New York Giants. Seen here with current manager Bill Terry, this is one of only a handful of images known of Mutrie after his career ended. A killer piece of baseball history showing the two managers of the Giants fifty years apart, issued by Acme and stamped on the back with a full paper caption as well!
