Vic Harris is one of those Negro League players that is largely forgotten today but could easily be in the Hall of Fame for his long service to the game and his numbers as a backup. He started in the early 1920's and his career lasted until 1945 (essentially when the Negro Leagues started to die out) and his role as the manager of the Homestead Grays during their glory years would put him right up there with Joe McCarthy or Casey Stengel! The offered batting photograph is the only original example we have seen and is displays nicely with some wear to the edges and corners from handling wear. An important piece of baseball photography that deserves to be in the Hall of Fame, just like Harris!
