Original May 24, 1940 photograph of the first night game in St. Louis played between the Browns and Indians. The photo shows the event taken from the right field line and looking down at the field during a break in the action. One of only a handful of images known from this event, this is a mounted original from the archives of the Sporting News and stamped on the back with notes as well. Despite a bit of an angular cut at the top (done by artists for publication) the photo presents beautifully.
