Lot Description  

1945 Photograph of Douglas MacArthur as he signs the official surrender of Japan aboard the USS Missouri, ending WII in the Pacific. Photo is in decent condition overall and this is a rare image taken by the United States Signal Corps (insignia on the front) and issued through the International News and with a paper caption on the back. The photo has some handling wear and creasing but it presents well.
