1945 Graphic photograph of the atrocity at Gardelegen in which the Nazi SS massacred over one thousand slave laborers (mostly Polish) as they allies were closing in as a last ditch effort to cover up their crimes. This poignant image shows German politicians as they were forced to view some of the dead bodies that were found in the barn at Gardelegen. A touching piece of wartime history issued by the Acme and stamped on the back with a paper caption as well.
