1922 Important photograph of Thomas Edison at the General Electric lab in New York examining a new radio vacuum tube that was used to transmit a radio signal across the Atlantic Ocean. With Edison is the inventor of the tube Dr. Irving Langmuir who himself was quite a personality and noted scientist. A really beautiful image showing three of the brightest minds of their era together going over a new discovery, this was issued by the International News and stamped on the back with a long and detailed paper caption. The photo has some creasing at the bottom but it presents better than the technical grade.
