Incredible 1940 action photograph of Bob Feller from the Cleveland Indians as he throws a pitch against the Chicago White Sox. Taken on opening day at Comiskey Park, there was a buzz in the air, only heightened by what Feller accomplished on this day. He beat the White Sox 1-0 and threw his first career no-hitter in the process. This is the only actual action photograph from the event we have ever handled and this is a high grade example issued by Acme and with a full paper caption on the back describing the action. An important piece of baseball history!
