Large 1930's portrait photograph of Hall of Famer Hank Greenberg in uniform and taken by famous photographer George Burke. An oversized specimen from the top photographer of the era, this is the photo that was used to make Greenberg's 1939 Play Ball baseball card making it more special than the already exceptional aesthetics of the image. The clarity and quality of the photograph are perfect with the only condition flaws being some pinholes at the corners from news-room use and a few small creases. This is the largest example of this famous photograph we have handled!
