1909 Photograph of Boston Red Sox players Harry Wolter and Bill Matthews as they warm up at the ballpark. While Wolter was a good player for years, Matthews only played in FOUR GAMES as a major leaguer making images of him essentially impossible to find. A unique silver gelatin original in great shape that is being offered here for the first time ever. According to a SBAR article, Mathews is so obscure that researchers did not even know if he batted or threw right or left handed... until now! An incredible piece of baseball photography that is re-writing the record books.
