Incredible set of three snapshot photographs of the greatest pitcher in Latin America, Jose Mendez. The better of the three photographs shows his batting form while the other two capture him at the Almendares ballpark in a dapper new suit, one with and one without his cap. Period ink inscriptions note that these are indeed Mendez and they are dated as well with some nice notes as to time and place. Images of Mendez are exceedingly rare with maybe 10-20 total known to exist in the world. This is a set of three images that are completely unique and original. An exciting new discovery that is being offered here for the first time ever!
