1922 Photograph of the University of Rhode Island basketball team in uniform and posing on the University steps. Led by Hall of Famer Frank Keaney who revolutionized the game with a fast-break style and full-court defense, this is an important piece of basketball history. Item comes directly out of the scrapbook of star player Joe Pinto and was owned by him! With some mild creasing at the top and a little wear, the photo looks better than the technical grade and it is possible this is the only one that has survived! Images of Keaney as a young coach are extremely rare and this is one of his best out there!
