1941 Contact print photograph of Heavyweight Champion of the World Joe Louis as he says goodbye to civilian life and New York City as he heads off to do his duty to the United States during WWII. Although he never saw combat, Louis sacrificed years to the War effort and this artistic photo tells the story quite well. The clarity is off the charts and the condition is quite nice.
